Ladakh The Dream Trip:Delhi To Ladakh

Today we will rest and prepare for the adventurous trip we have been waiting for a long time. You will be given your bikes which will be your buddy for the whole trip. You can also do some last minute shopping at the mall road or just roam around the beautiful town of Manali. Overnight stay at Manali.

Finally, the wait is over, today early morning we will depart for Jispa en route Leh. We will cross many scenic places like -Marhi – First stop. The climb for Rohtang La starts from here, Rohtang La – 13.050 ft. Connects Kullu and Lahaul valley, Khoksar – Lunch. First town after descending from Rohtang La, Tandi – Fuel. Last Petrol pump before Karu (335kms), Keylong – Administrative centre of Lahaul & Spiti Valley. Overnight stay at Jispa.

Wake up in the morning to a mesmerizing view of the huge mountains and the mighty river Bhaga. Today will be shortest distance that we will cover during the whole trip, but very adventurous. We will cross places like – Darcha – Checkpost. Northern most permanent settlement of H.P., Suraj Tal – Halt. Means the Lake of the Sun God, Baralacha La – 16,040 ft. One of the trickiest passes. Overnight stay at Sarchu.

Today morning after breakfast we will leave for Leh. Today you will see many different types of natural beauties like – Gata loops – 21 hairpin bends, Nakee La – 15,647 ft. First pass of Ladakh on this Highway, Lachung La – 16,600 ft. 2nd highest pass on this highway, Pang – Lunch. A place before the climb of Morey plains, Morey Plains – Halt. A plateau at 15,500+ ft, Tanglang La – 17,480 ft. highest pass on this highway. Overnight stay at Leh.

Today after morning breakfast have fun and roam around the city you have been dreaming about for months or maybe years. You can visit many places like – Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Mall Road, Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Hall of Fame, Magnetic Hill, Sangam. Overnight stay at Hotel.

After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the world, 18,380 ft). You can take short breaks at roadside cafes and scenic points for photography. On arrival check in to the hotel/camp. Post lunch, enjoy a camel safari (double humped camel which are found only in Ladakh & Mongolia) at the Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village. Overnight stay at Nubra Valley.

Today after breakfast we will leave for Pangong lake 14500ft. For the majority of the ride we will be riding alongside the Shyok river. We will come across places like – Agham – Halt. A tiny village where the road cuts for Wari La (en route Leh), Durbok – Lunch. A village where the road cuts for Chang La and Pangong Tso, Tangste – Checkpost. Arrival at Camp, Later free time at Leisure and enjoy the color changing lake and the sun set on the banks of lake. Overnight stay at Camp.

Wake up to a chilly morning with the view of the scenic Pangong Tso. We will leave
early so that we can reach Leh early and enjoy our day relaxing or roaming around the city . We will see places like – Tsoltak – Halt. A small lake, the climb for Chang La starts from here,Chang La – 17,590 ft. 2nd highest pass of the world, Karu/Shakti – Lunch.

Post breakfast we will depart for Sarchu, entering Himachal Pradesh. We will see places like – Tanglang La – 17,480 ft. Highest pass on this highway, Morey Plains – A plateau at a height of 15,500+ ft, Lachulung La – 16,616 ft. One of the easier 16,000+ ft pass Nakee La – 15,547 ft. Last pass for today, Gata loops – A section on the highway which has 21 hairpin bends. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Wake up to a chilly morning, post breakfast we will leave for the Manali, a place situated
on the banks of river Bhaga. We will cross places like – Baralacha La – 16,040 ft. The first
pass in Himachal, from Leh, Suraj Tal – A lake at a height of 15,750+ ft, Darcha – The first
permanent settlement in Himachal, from Leh. Overnight stay in manali.
